PRAYse Report, January 2015

Xul-Ha, Quintana Roo, Mexico Tuesday, January 6, 2015 Dear Faithful Pastors, Friends, and Members of the Lord’s Churches, New Year Greetings to you in the name of our glorious Lord who teaches us to number our days and to redeem  the time because the days are evil! We are excited about a new year of service to our Lord in the fulfillment of the Great Commission, hoping that we can serve Him with less distraction and be more about our Father’s eternal and spiritual business. The year 2014 is now in the history books. We are thoroughly amazed at how the Lord has worked in our lives  during these past 12 months and are really excited to see what He has for us in this new year. I am convinced that our eyes must be fastened upon eternal, invisible, and enduring things, for these are the only things really worth living for. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but things eternal, like the Word of God, shall stand forever. When our life in earthly time has been run and we stand on the brink of eternity in the presence of God, what will be important? No doubt what is eternally important is the glory and truth of God and those precious souls from every kindred, tongue, tribe, and race….those souls, valued souls, loved by God with an everlasting love and for whom Jesus Christ so willingly denied Himself, laid down His life, drank the cup of the wrath of Almighty God and shed His sinless blood to redeem. We must seek and gather the Lord’s sheep, knowing they will...

Letter from the Bert Craft Family

Dear Brethren, I am sorry for my lack of correspondence in the last few months.   The Lord allowed me this year to be in the United States at which time I graduated from high school. Since I have been back home in Xulha, Quintana Roo, I have given myself with renewed vigor to the Lord’s work. My dad and I have been working on Spanish literature. We have developed several different tracts for evangelism. Once printed, these tracts are then folded and assembled into packets which we place in small, plastic bags to protect them from the high humidity and frequent rains. When we go house to house in the villages, each home receives a packet. We went for the first time to the village of Los Raudales and Laguna Guerrero and visited about 500 houses … those villages are about 1.5 hours away. We also accompanied the church congregation in Chetumal to the villages of Cibalito and Sacrificio which are about 4-5 hours away. The majority of the people in that region speak the Chol Indian language.  These villages are on the border of the States of Quintana Roo, Campeche, and the country of Guatemala.  I accompanied Sister Linda (Brother Narciso’s sister), as we went to various houses testifying and distributing the Gospel packets.  It is such a blessing to witness how God works in people’s hearts and lives and to see how they come to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ!  We believe there is in open door in Sacrificio, and the congregation in Chetumal is planning public preaching services in Sacrificio this coming year. We must always...

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh!!!

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.Galat.4:4-5 Dear David, your family and church of the Savior at you, Mercy, Love and Grace of Sovereign God yes will be on all of you much for glory the Master and the King, Jesus Christ!!! We thank God for you and for your prayers about us and our service to God! The Lord has blest our travel on churches in the north. We have been protected by power of the Lord, and in our service, we felt presence of the Holy Spirit, in reply to your prayers! Yes the Lord plentifully, for glory of the Christ in your life for your participation in service to God in Siberia will bless you! All of us see more, how the whole world wallows in idolatry which is propagandised by all news media through which the Satan, for an enslavement of souls of people as materialism and life for a flesh works! Devilish attacks go on hearts of people, through all news media and political leaders. As it is told in the Bible in book Revelation 12:9-12 «And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and...

November 2014 Report

Dear Pastor and Brethren: A New Visitor! The phone calls and emails we received in October finally resulted in the visit of Mrs. Mona Raines to our services. She is the widow of the former pastor of another Baptist church here in Stillwater and had stopped going to her church when the new pastor began doing something that she did not like. She visited with us two Sundays this month and stopped coming. Since I was preaching on John 4 about the Samaritan woman, apparently she did not like something I preached. Anyway, we sent her a thank you note for having visited with us and haven’t heard from her since. Busy with Mexicans We seem to have become busy dealing with Mexican men primarily although sometimes we get to have brief interactions with their girlfriends and wives. This month I was able to counsel with Ignacio Guerrero, Juan Morales, Joel Garcia, Calixto Hernandez, Moises Villapando, Jesus Valadez, Miguel Angel Castillo, Jose Turubiartes and a couple more whose names I did not write down. Sometimes I wonder if all of the tracts and Bibles that I give out and all of my personal witnessing will ever bear fruit. Apparently it is not a spiritual harvest time but a time of sowing the good seed. This we will continue to do by the leadership of the Lord and by your faithful help in prayers and finances. A New Sign Needed We have a sign in the yard at the front of our building that says, “Grace Baptist.” It is old and dark green with black lettering. I am praying about...

We continue to preach on villages and cities the Grace Gospel, at all obstacles. For last month, I had to repair 2 weeks the car (we bought the car from other owners, and they used a him for transportation of the goods, and metal on a back part has burst). I searched for many spare parts, and welding works. It has brought huge expenses for repair. But God always blesses us. The Lord has given the chance to me to tell about the Christ and to present disks with sermons to many people. Yes to become famous the Lord in rescue of these people! We continue to write down sermons and to expose in the Internet and as we write CD...

October Prayer Letter from Timothy Parrow

October 2014 Report  Dear Pastor and Brethren: Return Trip  On our return trip to Stillwater from Pennsylvania, we stopped on Sunday morning to attend services at Landmark Baptist Church, Bro. Darren Myers, Pastor, in Rolla, Mo. We had notified him ahead of time that we would be passing through his area and that we would be visiting on Sunday morning. The Pastor and church are associated with the BBF. Bro. Myers preached on “Witnessing,” and at the end of the service they baptized a former Muslim man into the church. After the service, Bro. Myers invited us to eat lunch with him and his family, and then we continued on our way home. Bible Conference at Bethel   After about two weeks of getting back to our normal routine, we went down to Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, of Choctaw, Ok., Bro. Royce Smith, Pastor. They hosted their annual Bible conference the 16th through the 18th of October. It was a delightful conference with good singing, uplifting preaching, invigorating fellowship, and delicious food. I had been asked to preach on that Saturday morning, and did so on the subject, “Hannah’s Song.” Thank you Bro. Smith and Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for hosting a wonderful conference. Back to Normal Activity   Since returning to our normal duties, we have had the opportunity to work with four Mexican people, Oscar, Daniel, Zuleidy and her mother Petra. Oscar and Daniel have done community service with us and Roxanne translated for Zuleidy and Petra during Zuleidy’s tonsillectomy and follow-up doctor visits. I continue to minister to both English and Spanish speaking men in our jail services...

John’s Baptism – Matthew 3:5-16

There are a lot of Christian scholars who don’t like John the Baptist, and who try to call him some sort of Old Testament prophet or servant of God. I know that it is true, because I have often read it, but I can’t understand why they want to do it. Maybe its nothing more than a hatred of the designation “Baptist.” But that’s not the entirety of it, because there are a lot of professing Baptists among the rejecters. On the other hand, I’ve never met a man who I thought was a true historic Baptist who has turned against John the first Baptist. John may have lived and died before the death of Christ, and for that reason he didn’t know all the doctrines about Christ that you and I should know. But he had the privilege of knowing the Saviour personally and directly – something which we lack. If to be a Christian, one must have faith in Christ, and to be a follower of the Lord, then John qualifies. But I am getting ahead of myself. I believe that John should be considered to be a Christian, and more specifically, John’s baptism should be considered to be Christian baptism. John is a New Testament personality. He is found in the Old Testament only as prophecy. Of course that doesn’t prove he was a Christian, because Herod, too, is found in the New Testament. But in addition to his historical setting, we also have John’s testimony of Christ. We have his knowledge of the Lord and his testimony of faith in Christ Jesus. John the Baptist was...
