Dear Brethren,

I am sorry for my lack of correspondence in the last few months.   The Lord allowed me this year to be in the United States at which time I graduated from high school. Since I have been back home in Xulha, Quintana Roo, I have given myself with renewed vigor to the Lord’s work. My dad and I have been working on Spanish literature. We have developed several different tracts for evangelism. Once printed, these tracts are then folded and assembled into packets which we place in small, plastic bags to protect them from the high humidity and frequent rains. When we go house to house in the villages, each home receives a packet.

We went for the first time to the village of Los Raudales and Laguna Guerrero and visited about 500 houses … those villages are about 1.5 hours away. We also accompanied the church congregation in Chetumal to the villages of Cibalito and Sacrificio which are about 4-5 hours away. The majority of the people in that region speak the Chol Indian language.  These villages are on the border of the States of Quintana Roo, Campeche, and the country of Guatemala.  I accompanied Sister Linda (Brother Narciso’s sister), as we went to various houses testifying and distributing the Gospel packets.  It is such a blessing to witness how God works in people’s hearts and lives and to see how they come to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ!  We believe there is in open door in Sacrificio, and the congregation in Chetumal is planning public preaching services in Sacrificio this coming year.

We must always depend on the Word of God to do as God Himself has promised to do.  The Word of God will never return void, but must accomplish that to which it has been sent forth.  I trust that you are in high spirits for the knowledge that God is Sovereign LORD over all and that HE is accomplishing all His eternal purpose!

We have also been going out a couple times a week to clear the jungly forest of the property that has been given for the Bible Institute. It is a lot of hard work and we have to take great care to not get rashes from the poisonous plants and trees.  I will include some photos of how the property looked originally and of our progress.

We covet your prayers for the advancement of the Gospel and Christ’s Kingdom.  There is much work to be done and we are very weak vessels.  We need the power of God and His Strength to go on, looking unto Jesus!  Thank you so much for praying!

The Lord bless you and keep you in His fear and His grace!

Pressing on,

Ruth Craft
