Dear Pastor and Brethren:
Two Visitors
Last month was a low month, but this month we had two young men visit with us. The first was Michael Dubarry, a crane operator for the electric power grid being installed for the power station called the Ripley Energy Center. Ripley is a small town a few miles east of us. He promised that he would return, but he never has come back to our services. The other visitor was Peyton, an OSU sophomore. Peyton is from Illinois and a church member at First Baptist Church of O’Fallon. We had an excellent visit with him, but he wouldn’t commit to returning to our services. We must leave the results of the message up to the Lord in the lives of these two men.
Good News
Sis. Kim Williams has returned to attending our services. She had left for several months not telling us the why of her absence, Now she has returned and we are happy to see her. Before she left and since her return she has been a blessing to us. Her son, Matt, is still studying for his PHD at OSU but has not returned to the services. Please pray for him and his spiritual need.
A Personal Note
I had two doctors appointments and a echocardiogram this month. They say that I have an ejection fraction of 20-25%. The standard is in the sixty range. My pacemaker operates 99.8% of the time leaving my heart to function at 1.1% of the time. I am almost totally dependent on my pacemaker, but really I am totally dependent on the Lord.
Roxanne had an appointment with her endocrinologist, Dr. Krishnamurthy, who seems to be a fine doctor. We are hoping that she will be able to help Roxanne with her thyroid and osteoporosis and the pain associated with it. Roxanne is on a new medicine and hoping to see improvement soon.
We have a new great-grandson, Theodore, weighing in at 10 lbs. at birth.
Latino Outreach
Our Latino outreach is being severely affected by illegal immigrant arrests and deportations. Several with whom we have worked in court have been directly arrested and deported by ICE. However, we have the following names to share with you with whom we have been in contact: Oscar Almanza Hernandez, Gabriel Romero Lopez, Elizabeth Aguilar, Y elan Aguilar Machorro, and Armando Garcia Ramirez. We have another young man who is doing community service with us named Jesus Cuellar. He likes to talk about religious things but knows not the Lord. May the Holy Spirit give me the ability to share with him biblical truth to draw him to Christ.
By His grace and in loving gratitude, Tim and Roxanne Parrow
