New and Old Visitors

This month the Lord has blessed us with two new visitors and an old visitor. James Looper and Ada Holt are the new visitors that have visited with us twice, coming with Bro. Alvin Christian both times. They are his neighbors and do not have a vehicle. Hopefully they will return with Bro. Alvin. Then the grandson of Bro. and Sis. Gaches came one Wednesday evening to our Bible study. He has come before with his brother and parents. We hope all of these will come back to hear God’s Word and come to know the Lord, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Special Services

When Bro. Lonnie Edwards, Pastor of Portland Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville, AR., called me several months ago and asked if I would preach their annual Fall Revival Services, I told him that I was quite weakened by my heart attacks and not sure that I would be able to have the physical stamina to preach a Sunday through Wednesday series of sermons. He said that he understood but insisted that I come to them anyway. When the seventeenth of September arrived, Roxanne and I drove to Conway, AR., and met Bro. and Sis. Edwards who had arranged everything to make our journey easy for us. We did, by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit of God and the excellent care of our hosts, make it through the five sermons and two songs required for the preaching and singing from September 19 through September 22. We drove home on Thursday, September 23rd, weary but happy in the Lord for His blessings. The Lord gave me great liberty to preach the following five messages:  The Divine Creditor, The Divine Receiver, and the State of Receivership; Conditions of Divine Endearment (two messages);  A Demonstration of Those Conditions by Our Lord;  Socialism, Capitalism and Their Relationship to the Gospel;

Bro. Edwards said that of all five messages, the last one interested him the most. Roxanne and I greatly appreciate the response of the brethren there to these messages and returned home deeply blessed although quite weary. We do hope that the brethren of Portland Missionary Baptist Church were blessed and brought closer to the Lord by our efforts. Thank you Bro. & Sis. Edwards and beloved brethren of Portland Missionary Baptist Church.

By His grace and in loving gratitude,

Tim and Roxanne Parrow
