Dear Pastor and Brethren:
A Busy Month with Visitors!
We have had several visitors this month. Sis. Kim Williams talked to a young man at the Aldi store inviting him to our services, and he came. He brought a Bible with him and later brought his eight-year-old son and stayed several minutes after the service talking. He promised that he would be back, but we have never seen him again. Then, a young man, David, who works a job that makes him travel a lot came several Sundays up to and including Resurrection Sunday (Easter). He joined us in our men’s prayer meeting and was a blessing to us while here. He was here last year about the same time, and said that he would come back the next time he is in our area. Mr. and Mrs. Larry and Cindy Bullard came one Sunday morning because they were visiting their granddaughter who is attending OSU. Bro. Larry attended Tennessee Temple College with me many years ago. They wanted to renew our friendship and came to the service to see us. After the service, they took us out to eat, and we had a nice time recalling and remembering our activities at the College. They promised to return whenever they visit their granddaughter again. Others that came were the Mexican children of Bro. Jose Bautista, Josselyn and Jesus (Hay-sus). All together on Resurrection Sunday, the Lord sent us thirteen to sing and listen to the message from God’s Word. We thank the Lord for all the blessings he sends us!
Latino Activity
In spite of all the Hispanics coming into the United States illegally, our outreach to them here in Stillwater seems to be slowing down. The court has put another two or three translators on its list and therefore are calling me less to translate in the courtroom. We did reach out to Francisco, Alberto, Salomon, Gilberto, and Marta. However there were others that we missed because we didn’t get called to translate for them.
Other Activity
We had the joy of being able to attend the hymn sing at Bethel Baptist Church, Bro.
Royce Smith, Pastor, in Choctaw, Ok. This year, however, we only attended the afternoon session because of the difficulty I have with my heart. I get very weary quickly upon exertion. Please remember us in your prayers.
by His grace and in loving gratitude,
