Dear Pastor and Brethren:

New Visitor

On the seventeenth of July we had a new visitor come to our Sunday morning service. His name is Matthew Williams. Matthew lives with his mother, Kim, who has been attending our services for quite sometime now. He is a PhD candidate in Creative Writing at Oklahoma State University. Both he and his mother are members of some kind of independent Baptist church in Virginia. Matthew has continued to attend our services with his mother. We hope that they both will be regular in their attendance to our services.

Return to Preaching

I preached my first sermon on July twenty-seventh, a Wednesday evening service since my pacemaker operation. By the grace of our Lord I did well, but slept until three o’clock in the afternoon the next day from being exhausted. Since that time, I have not returned to the pulpit for two reasons. The first is that Sis. Gaches became sick with an emergency trip to the hospital for surgery. Since Bro. and Sis. Gaches are the only ones that attend the Wednesday evening services, we had to cancel them because they were not able to attend. The second reason is that Bro. Gaches is preaching a series of messages and will not be finished for a few weeks. He is now preaching on, “The Sources of Truth,” and is doing a good job of it. I am playing the piano for the accompaniment of the congregational singing and am getting stronger each time that I do so, (not running out of breath nor stumbling to my seat when finished).

Personal Accomplishments

On July twenty-fifth, Roxanne celebrated her birthday and on the twenty-sixth we celebrated our forty-ninth wedding anniversary. We celebrated these things at home where it is nice and cool. The temperatures here have been in the one hundreds most of the summer and so we thought it best to remain in our home-sweet-home. Thank you all for your prayers and giving to support the Lord’s work here in Stillwater.

By His grace and in loving gratitude,

Tim & Roxanne Parrow
