Christian obedience to the Lord’s commands:

We must (crucify the flesh; meditate in the scriptures; make New Year’s resolutions; faithfully attend church) if we would like to “observe to do” the Lord’s will. “This book of the law shall not depart….” Jos 1:8

Commands given to Christians:

What should we do with foolish questions, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; because the are unprofitable and vain (debate them; avoid them; expose them; accept them)? Tit. 3:9

Because the Lord has said that He’d never leave us, we are commanded to be (without covetousness; content; happy; gregarious). Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content

Because the devil seeks to devour us, we are commanded to be (prayerful, defensively aggressive; sober; vigilant). 1 Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh

Our relationship to the world is not to be (temporary; conformity; transformity; intrenched). Rom. 12:2

We are commanded to give (freely; offence; as God has prospered; willingly). Not offence
