The Challenges of Life – Daniel 2:13-19

Jan 17, 2010 | Daniel

This Book of Daniel is one of the more beloved books of the Bible. It is filled with wonderful and important prophesies, and is often compared to the Book of Revelation. And as such there is a great deal of controversy in the details. So those people who are prone to...

O King, Live Forever – Daniel 2:4

Jan 10, 2010 | Daniel

I have been asked many times: “How do you determine what to preach?” Actually, there are several things involved, depending especially on the type of study that we’re in. When we aren’t in the midst of the study of a book, as we are now, then...

Unbelievers’ Faith – Daniel 2:1-13

Jan 10, 2010 | Daniel

Someone asked me the other day, what sort of background reading I do in preparation for these messages. I tried to tell him that I start with the scriptures, but then I have half a dozen books available to me. I also have two sets of sermon outlines that I sometimes...

Why did Daniel Refuse the King’s Wine? – Daniel 1:5-8

Jan 3, 2010 | Daniel

I return to a theme which I addressed just six months ago. I return because, not only is it a huge national sin, and a potential problem for any child of God, but once again it is also a very appropriate subject for this time of year. If there is ever a season of the...

And God Brought…. – Daniel 1:1-21

Jan 3, 2010 | Daniel

Dec 27, 2009 | Daniel

Like many of my messages, this sermon has three points. But I only intend to give you two of them this morning, saving the last for tonight. I suppose that I could have a single title for both segments, but we have another for this evening – “Daniels...

Superstition – Daniel 1:1-3

Dec 20, 2009 | Daniel

We are beginning, this morning, a study of the Book of Daniel, which I hope will appeal to all of us. This is a very special kind of book. It is filled with important eschatology – declarations about the work and the coming of the Messiah. But while it looks...

Setting the Stage – Daniel 1:1-2

Dec 19, 2009 | Daniel

There are a number of ways to introduce a study such as we are commencing today. I have only five commentaries dedicated to the Book of Daniel, and they begin in different ways. One way is to simply start examining the very first verses . Another way is to declare...

The Origination of Evangelism – John 3:16

Dec 25, 2007 | Evangelism

Very rarely today is the study or work of evangelism kept within a Biblical perspective. By that I mean that most of the books that I have on the subject talk primarily about two things: Most stress the work of the evangelist. That evangelist must have X number of...
