Dear Pastor and Brethren:
Terrible Fires
On the fourteenth of March, the west side of Stillwater was ravaged by terrible windblown fires. Some seventy homes of high-end quality were burnt to the ground in just a few minutes because the wind velocities reached as high as fifty to sixty miles per hour. Bro Gaches, who is a master plumber, was called to the scene by a friend of his to shut off the water of a home that was destroyed. After doing that, the police saw him and asked him to turn off the water of several other homes, which he did. He reported these things to us the Sunday following the destruction. Altogether in the state of Oklahoma there were approximately 435 homes destroyed by flames. We thank the Lord for protecting us from such disaster, and pray that the Lord will protect and help his people involved in this situation. We certainly need rain to lower the possibility of more fires. May the Lord bless us with beautiful rain.
Other Activities
We were invited to attend the “Hymn Sing,” at Bethel Baptist Church on the twentyninth of March. Sis. Kim Williams drove us down there in our car, and we had a good time in the Lord singing His praises. We are so isolated from other churches that it is difficult to have a time of fellowship with one another.
Roxanne has developed something wrong with her knee, leg, and ankle. It swelled up and hurt her intensely. Her doctor sent her to the hospital for an ultrasound and again for an xray. Nothing could be found but three Baker cysts and a bit of arthritis. The doctor scheduled her for physical therapy sessions and said that if those sessions didn’t get her some relief then she would schedule an MRI. Meanwhile, we are doing all we can to find her relief through topical creams designed to alleviate pain. She gets very little relief from these creams. Advil seems to help her the most. Please remember her in prayer.
Spanish Outreach
We have dealt with nine Latinos involved in legal troubles and a husband/wife couple invited us to eat in their new restaurant that they have started here in Stillwater. Because of lack of space, I won’t list all their names but please remember us in this ministry. It is becoming more difficult as time and political and legal measures develop. May the Lord’s will be done in all of this confusion.
By His grace and in loving gratitude
Tim and Roxanne Parrow – II Tim. 1:7
