Dear Pastor and Church
This month we have had three visitors: Mark visited three times, Tamara visited two times, and an elderly black lady visited once. Mark’s first-time coming this month was after several weeks of incarceration. He had lost his home and all of his money due to incarceration and jail costs and was all black and blue in the area of his face because his ex-wife and her boyfriend had beaten him. The second time he visited, after the service he approached me and offered me a hundred dollar bill. I told him that I was the preacher and that I don’t accept money and if he wanted to give money he would have to give it to the treasurer, which he promptly did. The second Sunday he also brought a lady friend with him, named Tamara, and both Tamara and Mark attended the third Sunday together. They have not returned after the third Sunday. The black lady came into our service at about the middle of it. At the end of the service she told Bro. Gaches that she had not eaten for two days so he gave her twenty dollars and she left. We have not seen her at all, although she said that she lived in the community.
We received one audio sermon from Bro. Jose Manuel Garcia in Tenerife and another Bible history lesson taught by his brother Francisco in Alicante, southern Spain where Bro. Garcia has been sending his messages each Sunday as part of his outreach efforts. Both lessons were well prepared and well presented. I am impressed with the spiritual growth both men are projecting as a result of their Bible studies. Please keep on praying for these men as the Lord works in their hearts, and the need for scriptural baptism continues to rise, and hopefully the prospects of seeing a New Testament church established in Alicante, Lord willing and in time.
Somehow, I hurt my left hip to the point where I couldn’t walk without excruciating pain. After enduring the discomfort for about one week, I decided to go to a chiropractor. Dr. Martin, a young man, corrected my problem with the first visit, relieving me of much pain. Since then I have had other visits that have helped me improve. I had to miss one Sunday because of the pain but am now preaching again praise the Lord!
By His grace and in loving gratitude,
Tim and Roxanne Parrow
