Dear Pastor and Brethren:

Recovery and Recuperation

During the month of March the Lord has enabled me to return to attending church services on the 15th but just to sit in the pew. Bro. Dick Gaches is doing a good job of preaching the Word from II Peter chapter one, verses one through eleven. I was able to play one hymn to accompany the congregational singing on the last Sunday in March. Hopefully, the Lord will increase my strength to be able to play more of the hymns in the future. Roxanne had to help me walk back to the pew when I was done playing because I am so very weak. Nevertheless, playing is a good exercise for me to serve the Lord and increase my physical strength. The congregation seems to enjoy it for it helps them sing better to the glory of the Lord.

I have spent much time going to the cardiologist’s office and hospital for check – ups and lab work. The cardiologist prescribed cardio rehabilitation for me and so I began it on the 23rd of March going for an hour three times a week. This is an entirely new experience for me, and I hope that it is as profitable for me as the nurses say it will be. Medicare and Christian Healthcare Ministries are to pay for all of this expense. All this extra running back and forth and the extra duties that Roxanne is doing in my stead is requiring more strength and activity on her part. She has made medicine, blood pressure, and weight charts on which she records my medicinal intake, blood pressures, and weight gain and loss twice a day. I can only take certain medicines according to parameters set by my doctor according to my blood pressures. At times it can get confusing and the parameters change, so it is necessary to keep records to get everything right. Furthermore, I am still too weak to be able to drive and so Roxanne must always accompany me wherever I need to go. As I am a candidate for sudden cardiac arrest, Roxanne does not like to leave me alone for any long period of time. Please continue to remember her in prayer when you pray for me for her help is indispensable to my recovery.

Thank you all for your prayers on my behalf and the love gifts, cards, and emails. Roxanne reads emails to me from time to time expressing the concern of many for us. Please continue to pray for us. I still have a long way to go to recover from this affliction. By His grace, I am determined to return to serving the Lord fully, according to His will for my life.

By His grace and in loving gratitude,

Tim & Roxanne Parrow
